Avoid vestibule at north end of the Conservatory. (Where it attached to Plant Science Building.) The area is closed except for emergency egress due to construction. Please obey all signage. Window treatments preclude viewing interior of Conservatory from that area anyway.

CALS greenhouse manager Rhoda Maurer (an essential employee helping to maintain this valuable collection) shot the opening of this video for the Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) Virtual Plant activity. (Note that in the opening A. konjac inflorescence is misidentified as A. titanum.) EYH participants — 7th- to 9th-grade girls interested in exploring STEM topics — were scheduled to visit the Conservatory April 18. But rather than cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EYH leaders took their program online.

Parking: The nearest public metered lot is the Peterson Lot at the corner of Tower Road and Judd Falls Road, across from Stocking Hall and the Cornell Dairy Bar.
The conservatory houses one of several plant collections that make up the Liberty Hyde Bailey Hortorium in the Plant Biology Section of the School of Integrative Plant Science, and is maintained by the Cornell University Agricultural Experiment Station. It is the home of Cornell’s titan arums.
